Mount Lighting is a commercial lighting manufacturer with a difference – they combine sourcing with in-house design to deliver bespoke solutions for office clients across the UK.
The challenge
Whilst undertaking an array of marketing tactics, the business had no clear marketing strategy that summarised the market dynamics, the channel opportunities or an agreed budget of phased activity across the year.
The solution
Working as an embedded member of the team for three months, we undertook the following:
- A full review of current activity and the performance of retained agencies.
- Explored the interface between marketing and sales and the responsibilities of each group.
- Reviewed market data to understand the dynamics of the sector, the opportunities in different channels and the buyer behaviour of those groupings.
- We developed a marketing plan that captured all this information and scoped out a plan for the full year.
- Defined a budget for approval by the CEO
The benefits
Mount Lighting had a clear roadmap for future success and new tools for exploiting the channels in which they could best operate.
